Feds Say Operation Streamline II Working

Operation Streamline II is a government pilot program that is aimed at non-Mexicans immigrants that were “catched and released” at the border due to lack of bed space in detention centers. Under the new program, the government has freed up beds in county jails to make room for the new immigrants. Federal authorities say that the number of people apprehended has decreased since the start of the pilot program.
