Federal Court divided by Immigrant’s Habeas Petition

Filing a habeas petition is generally one of the last tools used by an immigration practitioner, but nonetheless a very valuable one. As Judge Tashima notes many courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, have historically recognized the significance of preserving this remedy.
